Why a Website Redesign was Crucial to Our Mission at 59DaysOfCode

If you’ve visited our site recently, you may have noticed some significant changes. And with these changes come exciting opportunities for the future.

But before we talk about our future, let’s talk about how we got here and why updating our website was crucial to our mission.

From its inception in 2010, our mission was to prove that San Joaquin Valley had the resources and talent to sustain technology businesses in a meaningful capacity. Since that time, 59DaysOfCode continues to grow exponentially, and it is clear the competition and the nonprofit are helping to create the best and brightest technology professionals in the region.

This brings us to our website design.

At our core, 50DaysOfCode is a community-based nonprofit organization that exists to build, equip and promote Fresno’s technology industry. And our website must speak to that. Not only did our website need a fresh approach to the design, aesthetics, messaging, and content that more accurately represents where we are today but improves its functionality. With our redesign, we wanted to make it easier for aspiring developers to reach out to us, pursue their ideas, provide resources, get real feedback and learn about the competition. We also wanted to let people know how to get involved, donate or become a sponsor where you can gain exposure to an audience with indispensable talent, decision making ability, and a strong voice.

59DaysOfCode demands a real grown-up approach. After all, we are Where Tech and Entrepreneurship Connect in the Central Valley. And what better way to connect is with our innovative and revised website.
